Hello!
Now that I have my answers regarding the source, (and I thank this forum for that), I am progressing to the amplifier/amp combination question.
As some of you know, I have the Essence loudspeakers, a full range with Jordan speakers. I know by experience that these speakers "like" very much the 47Labs amplification. I had both amps from 47 Labs and I still have the Gaincard.

However, I am looking for another kind of amplifier, just different - I will keep the Gaincard. I tryied many amps with these speakers before. I heard many amps, (goog amps), that did not sound well with the Essence, specially high powered amps, like Alef Delta Sigma and Audia Flight, for example. It doesn't mean necessarily that these speakers don't play well with powerful amps. I also tryed Naims on them and it was a disaster - and I used to like Naim's. Most amps sound "electronic" and "soulless" with them, machanical. These speakers are very selective, but when they play... they play, and they communicate.
I was happy to read from someone who has Avan Gard speakers, that the sm 70 (pro?) plays very well with them. I feel that I could order this Monarchy 70 Pro without hearing and without an opinion, but I would like very much to hear your comments about this "marriage".
I want to add that for me musical is not at all the same as warm... I read a few SM 70 and SM 70 Pro owners saying that their amps are warm, (but not a lot). They also say that they are very musical and I believe them.
But I hope they are not to warm. May be the SE 100 MKII would be more for my tastes, (may be, may be not, I don't know...), but I should have to buy TWO in a row. The SM 70 is stereo.-, I just have to buy one, may be a second one, but later.
The Essence only have 97 db's, but I heard powers with 6 or 8 watts driving them well, like audio note monoblocks, but for me, most audio notes are to "soft" and "rose". The Essence are really easy to drive if the power has a good PSU with lots of current. In that matter, (drive), I am sure that the SM 70 is good with the Essence. But it is not enough... Will it be good in the other areas? I think so. Will it work with my speakers? I don't know. May be.
Anyway, perhaps I will have to buy it without knowing. Why not?
Any comments? Thank you!
